ALEXANDER JENKINS commonly known as “Miss J” and/or J. Alexander; was born and raised in the South Bronx of New York City, USA.  He is the seventh of ten children born to parents Julius and Mary Jenkins.

J’s prolific career includes time as a model, a runway coach, an author and a television personality.  J is best known for his work as a runway coach and judge on America’s Next Top Model (ANTM).

1. Alexander has coached runway glamazons both backstage at fashion shows and within the venerable fashion houses of Europe. He has worked with hundreds of models over the years, such as Tyra Banks and Kimora Lee Simmons, and numerous designer brands.
2. Alexander, an America’s Next Top Model personality, has also made numerous appearances on television shows such as E!’s Fashion Police, Live with Regis & Kelly, Late Night with Conan O’brien, and the M’onique Show, as well as on international versions of the Top Model franchise, such as Russia’s Next Top Model, Britain’s Next Top Model, Canada’s Next Top Model and Finland’s Next Top Model. J. Alexander just finished his first season as a judge on I, Supermodel, broadcast to hundreds of millions of viewers in China. J. Alexander just launched his new show “Mirror, Mirror” on go90, where J. is the voice behind the mirror!

In 2009 Miss J. won a Teen Choice Award for the category of TV: Fab-u-lous.  He is the author of  Follow the Model.   J is currently launching his first collection of designer shoes under the “Miss J Alexander” brand, which can be seen at www.missjalexander.com and is available on amazon.com.
